Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program Community Giveback
At AIMS, leadership extends beyond the classroom. Through the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program Community Giveback, Scholars translate knowledge into action by designing and leading initiatives that respond to real needs in surrounding communities.
Rooted in service, empathy, and social responsibility, the Community Giveback empowers Scholars to apply their skills in meaningful ways, supporting education, health, environmental sustainability and community development. These initiatives reflect the Program’s commitment to nurturing ethical, engaged leaders who are driven to create positive change.
By giving back, Scholars strengthen their connection to the communities around them while reinforcing AIMS’ mission to use science, leadership and innovation as tools for inclusive development across Africa.
Based on each Institute, Scholars plan various give back activities to be able to support their communities. These include orphanage donations, to blood donation exercises, to health walks among others.
