AIMS supports doctoral training through structured PhD pathways embedded within its research centres and in collaboration with African and international partner universities. PhD candidates work under the supervision of Research Chairs and affiliated faculty, contributing to ongoing research projects while developing advanced expertise in specialised fields of the mathematical sciences. These programmes emphasise rigorous scholarship, international mobility, interdisciplinary engagement, and research that addresses real-world challenges. Through doctoral training, AIMS strengthens Africa’s pipeline of independent researchers and academic leaders.
