Across all Centres, AIMS convenes high-level research conferences, thematic workshops and summer schools that bring together mathematicians, scientists and practitioners from diverse disciplines. These gatherings create platforms for presenting cutting-edge research, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and building collaborative networks. Many workshops focus on pressing global and continental challenges including climate modelling, artificial intelligence, quantum science, epidemiology, optimisation and data science reinforcing AIMS’ role as a hub for scientific exchange and thought leadership in Africa.
