Diko Mukete is a former Director of Governance, Economic, and Financial Reforms at the African Development Bank (AfDB), where he served for 25 years in senior leadership roles. He was the pioneer Head of the AfDB’s Country Office in Ghana, Chief Country Economist for the West and North Africa regional departments, and Resident Representative in Rwanda with responsibility for Burundi (2007– 2011). In Rwanda, he played a key role in the Joint Governance Assessment with the Government and development partners, and co-chaired the Budget Support Harmonization Group. Prior to joining the AfDB, Mr. Mukete was a Division Manager at Cameroon’s National Investment Corporation. He holds degrees in Economics and Law from the London School of Economics and St. John’s College, Cambridge University, and is a Barrister-at-Law of Gray’s Inn, London, called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1981. He is also a member of the Cameroon Bar Association. Mr. Mukete has served on the Management Board of the African Legal Support Facility. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Rwanda Finance Ltd/Kigali International Financial Centre, is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered Bank-Cameroon, a Non-Executive Director of the National Bank of Rwanda, and Special Advisor to Rwanda’s Minister of Finance and Economic Planning.
