The AIMS International Governing Board (IGB), consisting of the Trustees of the AIMS network, provides overall strategic oversight and direction, ensuring alignment with the mission and vision of AIMS. The IGB is responsible for all major decisions including the appointment of AIMS Centre Presidents and is the network’s highest authority. AIMS Cameroon, Ghana, Senegal and South Africa have in addition local Boards or Trusts which operate under partnership agreements with the IGB.
The Council of Centre Presidents (CCP) is the AIMS network’s highest management authority. The CCP consists of the Presidents of AIMS Institutes and nominates one of its members to serve as the AIMS Network President. The CCP meets monthly to coordinate all activities and future plans across the network. The IGB and the CCP convene annually, in person, for the AIMS Annual General Meeting.
