Call for Applications: AIMS Master’s in Mathematical Sciences and CO-OP Master’s Programmes
  1. AIMS Master’s in Mathematical Sciences Programme (2026–2027) The AIMS Master’s in Mathematical Sciences offers an intensive, one-year postgraduate programme renowned for its excellence, diversity, and collaborative learning approach. Students receive world-class training from leading African and international lecturers, developing strong analytical, computational, and problem-solving skills applicable across multiple disciplines. This programme is suited for students passionate about innovation, scientific discovery, and using mathematics as a tool for social and economic transformation in Africa.
  2. AIMS Cooperative Education (CO-OP) Master’s Programme (2026–2028) The AIMS CO-OP Master’s Programme is a unique work-integrated learning pathway that combines rigorous academic training in the mathematical sciences with structured, hands-on industry experience. This innovative model allows students to alternate between classroom learning and professional placements, ensuring graduates are not only theoretically strong but also industry-ready. The programme is ideal for aspiring innovators who thrive in highly interactive learning environments and are eager to apply mathematics to real-world problems across sectors such as technology, finance, data science, engineering, policy, and research. By bridging academia and industry, the CO-OP programme prepares graduates for dynamically advanced career paths that contribute directly to Africa’s development. Who Should Apply? Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, science, or engineering with a strong mathematics component and demonstrate readiness for a demanding, highly interactive academic experience. Both programmes are offered across the AIMS Network, including AIMS South Africa, AIMS Senegal, AIMS Ghana, AIMS Cameroon, and AIMS Rwanda. Application Deadlines: March 15, 2026
